NeuroInformatics.nl
Neuroinformatics is an emerging field of study that uses informatics to bridge the gap between (1) the large volume of complex data being generated in neuroscience labs all over the world and (2) the computational models and analysis methods needed to analyze and interpret these data. The goal is to understand functioning and malfunctioning of the brain.
Mission
Neuroinformatics.NL aims at creating a vigorous neuroinformatics research community in the Netherlands and giving neuroinformatics a prominent place in brain and cognition research. Neuroinformaticians and neuroscientists from various other scientific disciplines are brought together during Neurinformatics.NL workshops and symposia. The network facilitates collaboration with industry and promotes education and training of neuroinformatics MSc and PhD students. Neuroinformatics.NL represents the Netherlands in the INCF (International Neuroinformatics Coordinating Facility), which coordinates national node contributions through meetings and international task forces.
